ADR 68/01 Fasten Seatbelt While Seated Sticker – Bus & Coach Seat Back Label

Price from $2.95 each

Professional FASTEN SEATBELT WHILE SEATED sticker developed for Australian buses and coaches requiring the individual passenger seating-position visual warning specified under Australian Design Rule ADR 68/01 – Occupant Protection in Buses, clause 5.8.1.

Featuring the prescribed wording in clear black lettering on a white background, this durable laminated seatbelt reminder sticker is designed for passenger seat backs, bulkheads and suitable interior vehicle surfaces.

Available Sizes and Letter Heights

120 × 35 mm – 11 mm lettering

150 × 40 mm – 13 mm lettering

Both versions are designed to exceed the ADR 68/01 minimum letter-height requirement of 7 mm, subject to verification of the finished printed artwork.

The compact format provides a professional seatbelt reminder suitable for different passenger seating arrangements without unnecessary pictograms or additional wording.

ADR 68/01 Passenger Seatbelt Warning Requirements

ADR 68/01 clause 5.8.1 specifies a durable visual warning containing at least the wording FASTEN SEATBELT WHILE SEATED, using Arial Medium or Helvetica Medium lettering with a minimum letter height of 7 mm.

Where a passenger seat is directly in front, the warning must be durably affixed to the back of that seat. Where no seat is directly in front, the warning must be attached to a bulkhead or other suitable vehicle structure directly ahead.

The regulation specifies a mounting height of 1000 mm ± 300 mm above the relevant floor plane, subject to the detailed provisions and exceptions in ADR 68/01.

No pictogram is required for this individual seating-position label.

Standard Vinyl with Protective Laminate

Manufactured using commercial self-adhesive printed vinyl with a clear protective laminate overlay.

The laminate helps protect the printed surface against routine handling, passenger contact, cleaning and everyday interior transport use.

The high-contrast black-on-white design provides a clearly readable passenger instruction suitable for installation on compatible smooth, clean and dry seat-back panels and other approved interior surfaces.

Bulk Packs for Bus and Coach Manufacturers

Available in packs of 1, 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 stickers.

Bulk quantity discounts are applied before checkout, making these labels suitable for individual replacements, complete bus and coach fit-outs, production-line installation, fleet refurbishment and workshop inventory.

Westside Graphics supports fleet operators, bus manufacturers, coach builders, body builders, dealerships, seating installers and transport maintenance departments requiring professional passenger seatbelt labels in commercial quantities.

Bus, Coach and Vehicle Applications

Developed for applicable passenger seating installations in city buses, regional buses, school buses, charter coaches, touring coaches, workforce transport and other passenger transport vehicles.

Potential applications include suitable vehicles manufactured or bodied by Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Scania, MAN, BCI, Yutong, King Long, Irizar, Volgren, Higer, Toyota Coaster and Mitsubishi Rosa.

Vehicle specifications, seating arrangements and ADR applicability vary. Manufacturer names identify potential applications and do not imply OEM endorsement, universal fitment or that every vehicle is subject to ADR 68/01.

Australian ADR 68/01 Requirements

ADR 68/01 introduces updated occupant-protection and passenger seatbelt-warning requirements for applicable Australian buses and coaches, with new-model applicability commencing 1 November 2026 and broader new-vehicle applicability commencing 1 November 2027.

This sticker is designed specifically around the individual seating-position warning provisions of clause 5.8.1.

Regulatory information: The finished label must use the prescribed font, wording and minimum letter height and satisfy the applicable durability, visibility and installation requirements. Correct label installation does not by itself establish whole-vehicle ADR 68/01 compliance.

The regulation also includes separate requirements for an illuminated or backlit FASTEN SEATBELTS cabin warning and an audible passenger warning. This seat-back sticker is not a substitute for those systems.
