The Westside Graphics Photoluminescent Emergency Exit Sticker is a specialist self-illuminating emergency identification decal developed for bus, coach and passenger transport interiors where emergency exit identification may need to remain visible during reduced-light or blackout conditions.
Unlike a standard printed emergency exit sticker, this product is manufactured using high-performance photoluminescent material. Photoluminescent material absorbs energy from available light and releases stored energy as a visible glow when surrounding light levels fall. The intensity and duration of the afterglow depend on factors including the light source, illumination level, charging time and surrounding conditions.
This passive illumination requires no batteries or electrical connection, making photoluminescent identification particularly useful where emergency information needs to remain identifiable after normal lighting is reduced or lost. Emergency-exit identification is intended to help occupants locate and recognise exits and evacuation routes during an emergency.
Featuring highly visible EMERGENCY EXIT – BREAK GLASS TO OPEN identification, these long-format decals are designed primarily for installation around emergency exit windows and designated emergency escape points inside buses and coaches.

These decals are produced from specialist photoluminescent material rather than our regular transport sticker media. Because of the material and production process involved, photoluminescent products may require additional manufacturing time compared with our standard printed decals.

It is the purchaser/operator's responsibility to confirm the required emergency exit signage, size, positioning and suitability for their specific vehicle and jurisdiction before purchasing or installing this product.
Photoluminescent material requires exposure to a suitable light source to charge. Glow performance will vary according to the intensity, type and duration of the available light and the conditions in which the decal is installed.
This product should not be assumed to replace any legally required illuminated, powered or otherwise specified emergency exit system unless its suitability has been confirmed for the particular application. Building emergency-exit requirements can also differ substantially from vehicle requirements; customers purchasing for buildings, marine, rail or other applications must confirm the applicable requirements before ordering. Australian building rules, for example, impose specific illumination, luminance, size and viewing-distance requirements on photoluminescent exit signs used to satisfy building-code requirements.
